Where

Parco Dora, a powerful symbol of the city’s regeneration in the northern suburbs of Turin.

The location itself contains a powerful message about our ability to rediscover our place in nature, to give nature the opportunity to express itself again. This can happen even in an urban context.

Parco Dora covers over 35 hectares on the disused sites of five Fiat and Michelin factories, active until the 1990s near the Dora Riparia River and the nearby railway. A magical place that retains remnants of the recent industrial past and juxtaposing them with meadows, trees, ponds, and watercourses.

The Dora, the river that crosses the park and gives it its name, was once sealed in concrete, but has since been brought to light, liberated, regenerated. An extraordinary metamorphosis, carried out in 2004 by a team of architects, engineers, light designers, artists, coordinated by the German landscape architect Peter Latz.
