Italy is home to more than 870 protected areas, for a total of 3 million hectares of protected land, 2,850 hectares of protected seas, and 658 kilometers of protected coast.

National, regional, and interregional parks, as well as marine protected areas, fall under the protection of the State and are managed according to principles set forth in Law 394 of December 6, 1991, which allows for experimental and productive agricultural activities, including the cultivation of vines.

In this Taste Workshop, we will journey through these natural and cultural landscapes, from the north to the south of the country, to discover wines (and foods) of significant natural and environmental value.

The tasting line-up:

  • Cinque Terre Bianco Amante del Sole 2022, Cian du Giorgi (Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre)
  • Catalanesca del Monte Somma Summa 2022, Cantine Olivella (Parco Nazionale del Vesuvio)
  • Castel del Monte Bombino nero Primaluce 2023, Cantine Carpentiere (Parco Nazionale dell’Alta Murgia)
  • Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Vigneto San Calisto 2015, Valle Reale (Parco Nazionale della Maiella)
  • Moscato Passito al governo di Saracena 2013, Feudo di Sanseverino (Parco Nazionale del Pollino)

This event is on sale on our website until September 24. During Terra Madre, you can check in with Events Reception to find out if there are still tickets available.

Terra Madre Salone del Gusto is presented by Slow Food, the City of Turin, and the Piedmont Region. We look forward to seeing you at Parco Dora in Turin from Thursday, September 26 – Monday, September 30. Through food, we can rediscover ourselves as part of nature. #TerraMadre2024.
