In this Taste Workshop we offer enthusiasts a new and unique experience: a blind tasting of six samples from six Italian regions, each of which presents a different biodiversity index from the BioPass® project developed by SATA Studio Agronomico, with which Slow Wine has a long-standing collaboration.

BioPass® is an Italian project for measuring, safeguarding, and increasing biodiversity in viticultural systems in the belief that this represents a new frontier for conscientious and innovative companies, as well as a fundamental condition for achieving a holistic vision of sustainability throughout the wine production chain.

This workshop poses and seeks to answer the following questions: Is wine actually better when it’s made from grapes grown in more fertile, biologically active soil? And, what tools can we use to measure the positive and negative impacts of human modifications to ecosystems, landscapes, and the environment?

This event is on sale on our website until September 24. During Terra Madre, you can check in with Events Reception to find out if there are still tickets available.

Terra Madre Salone del Gusto is presented by Slow Food, the City of Turin, and the Piedmont Region. We look forward to seeing you at Parco Dora in Turin from Thursday, September 26 – Monday, September 30. Through food, we can rediscover ourselves as part of nature. #TerraMadre2024.
