Slow Food envisions a future in which herders, breeders, and consumers work together with nature, the land, water, and animals to ensure that farmed animals can live lives of dignity, and that people recognize the true value of the products with which these animals provide us (meat, milk, cheese, eggs, honey, wool, etc.).

There are many farmers who preserve the fertility of the land, protect biodiversity, respect their animals, and produce high-quality meat, milk, and cheese. Their work is indispensable for good agriculture, ecological wellbeing, human health, and the prosperity of small communities in marginal areas.

We will explore all of this in more depth at Terra Madre and hear directly from our network of animal breeders and farmers about their work on Slow Food’s campaign for husbandry that respects animals and the land.

The panel of speakers will be published soon.

This event is free and open to all who are interested. To participate, please book a spot on the website (just click on the “Register” button on the event page and leave your email address). We recommend arriving at the Arena 10 minutes before the start of the event. The organizers reserve the right to reassign your seat if you are not present within 5 minutes of the start.

Terra Madre Salone del Gusto is presented by Slow Food, the City of Turin, and the Piedmont Region. We look forward to seeing you at Parco Dora in Turin from Thursday, September 26 – Monday, September 30. Through food, we can rediscover ourselves as part of nature. #TerraMadre2024
