Diversity and inclusion is a recent trend in the world of food and wine, and one that we hope will continue, because celebrating differences is a sign of a more equitable society.

This encouraging trend is thanks to better regulations and to business owners and managers who are ready to welcome and support vulnerable people through social projects.

The tasting line-up

  • We begin in Campania, where the Terra Felix Cooperative produces mushrooms, grains, wine, and vegetables on lands confiscated from the Mafia.
  • Then we head to Lazio, where the Cooperative Sociale Fattorie Solidali (“Solidarity farms social cooperative”) produces extra virgin olive oil that has been reviewed in the Slow Food olive oil guide.
  • Next, we stop in Piedmont, where the 8 Pari project produces wines that celebrate and reflect the identities and values of people and place.
  • We finish up in Puglia with panettone from the Slow Food Griot Community for the valorization of multi-ethnic biodiversity.

This event is on sale on our website until September 24. During Terra Madre, you can check in with Events Reception to find out if there are still tickets available.

Terra Madre Salone del Gusto is presented by Slow Food, the City of Turin, and the Piedmont Region. We look forward to seeing you at Parco Dora in Turin from Thursday, September 26 – Monday, September 30. Through food, we can rediscover ourselves as part of nature. #TerraMadre2024.
