Our roots are diverse, and our cultures and civilizations are the fruit of dialogue and exchange with people different from ourselves.

Fellowship is essential for lasting coexistence. In our current preoccupation with freedom and equality, we often neglect solidarity. But without it, freedom and equality become sterile, unachievable principles.

In this dialogue, we’ll explore the value of fellowship as a fundamental perspective and practice for our collective future.

  • Enzo Bianchi is a monk and writer who founded the Bose monastic community and served as its prior until 2017. He has authored over 300 books and, at Terra Madre 2024, will present Fraternità (Fellowship, published by Einaudi) to the public.
  • Carlo Petrini is the founder of Slow Food.

This event is free and open to all who are interested. To participate, please book a spot on the website (just click on the “Register” button on the event page and leave your email address). We recommend arriving at the Arena 10 minutes before the start of the event. The organizers reserve the right to reassign your seat if you are not present within 5 minutes of the start.

Terra Madre Salone del Gusto is presented by Slow Food, the City of Turin, and the Piedmont Region. We look forward to seeing you at Parco Dora in Turin from Thursday, September 26 – Monday, September 30. Through food, we can rediscover ourselves as part of nature. #TerraMadre2024.
