All over the world there are beneficent people who welcome migrants, refugees, and the disabled, offering them the prospect of a future in cultivating the land.

There are people who create therapeutic gardens at schools and pediatric hospitals, spaces where proximity to nature improves mental health. People take action in all kinds of ways, whether by producing panettone for social solidarity or helping migrants become involved in farming projects and artisanal production. Social agriculture is more than just an economic opportunity: It is a concrete tool for rehabilitation and inclusion.

In this conference, we reflect on projects and experiences from throughout Italy to talk about how social agriculture can build relationships, welcoming and offering opportunities to vulnerable people, including children and adults with disabilities. These projects, which demonstrate that caring for nature is profoundly connected to caring for people, show as the way toward a future built in solidarity.

The panel of speakers will be published soon.

This event is free and open to all who are interested. To participate, please book a spot on the website (just click on the “Register” button on the event page and leave your email address).
