The enchanting Villa La Maggiorana, a B&B in Rivoli on the rural outskirts of Turin, will transform into a haven for food enthusiasts as it hosts Food is Medicine, a dinner that promises to be an unforgettable feast for the senses. Our host will be Sean Sherman, a celebrated indigenous chef known for his commitment to reinvigorating and promoting Native American cuisine.

Sean Sherman, also known as “The Sioux Chef,” is an expert in the traditional indigenous foods of Turtle Island who introduces his customers to flavors from before the European invasion of North America. Joining him in creating this dinner will be Linda Black Elk, a respected ethnobotanist and authority on indigenous plants; and Alexis Nelson, the famous forager of wild foods. They present a menu that combines the flavors of North America with the bounty of the Italian countryside, offering a truly innovative culinary experience.

This event costs €75 and is NOT on sale directly on our website. For more information and to make a booking, call +39 338 701 8056, email info@lamaggiorana.it, or visit www.villamaggioranarivoli.it.

Terra Madre Salone del Gusto is presented by Slow Food, the City of Turin, and the Piedmont Region. We look forward to seeing you at Parco Dora in Turin from Thursday, September 26 – Monday, September 30. Through food, we can rediscover ourselves as part of nature. #TerraMadre2024.
