We’re pretty sure that, had it been within reach, Eve would have gone for the cider instead of the apple.

Cider, obtained from the fermentation of apple juice, has an ancient and fascinating history. Evidence from the Biblical story of the Garden of Eden aside, we don’t know for sure when our love affair with apples began, but we know that cider has deep roots in the cultures of Europe, where it has been popular since long before the introduction of coffee, tea, and chocolate.

In this Taste Workshop, we’ll learn about cider’s role today in the gastronomy of Europe today as we embark on a cider tasting adventure through France, Italy, Belgium, Georgia, and England.

Each cider will be paired with a cheese from the same country of origin.

This event is on sale on our website until September 24. During Terra Madre, you can check in with Events Reception to find out if there are still tickets available.

Terra Madre Salone del Gusto is presented by Slow Food, the City of Turin, and the Piedmont Region. We look forward to seeing you at Parco Dora in Turin from Thursday, September 26 – Monday, September 30. Through food, we can rediscover ourselves as part of nature. #TerraMadre2024.
